Chaz Chattha, 28 has been been playing poker professionally for five years and already collected $500,000 in live tournement earnings including two GUKPT final table apperances.

Chaz has been a huge sports enthusiast from an early age and along with playing football, rugby and cricket he also played a lot of pool/snooker at his local clubs. Here he was introduced to world of gambling and then poker. Even though his friend James Akenhead had grown up in the same venues (and road!) it was not until 2004 that he met his future Hit Squadder. James and Chaz both got hooked to poker in 2005, and were found travelling all around London to play small buy in tournaments. Chaz had immediate success and would constantly earn more in a night then he would all month at his day job as a stock-taker.

It was around the same time as his friend Praz Bansi that Chaz left his job and won a WSOP Main event package to play in the biggest tournement of 2006. They both travelled to Las Vegas and even though Praz had visited before this was Chaz' first experience at the biggest stage. The World Series did not fair too well For Chaz but he had tremendous success at the Bellagio Cup festival that was running alongside the WSOP. He entered a $1000 buy in tournament along with 518 other hopefuls and finished an impressive 3rd for $41,000. It was just 5 days after this that he once again entered the same tournament but this time he would go two places better and bag his first major victory and another $133,000 to add to his new bankroll. He ended an incredible first year in poker with a 2nd place finish in the main event of the Northern Lights Festival in Blackpool with a $63,000 payday.

Chaz has followed on his early success by making two GUKPT final tables in Plymouth and London finishing 2nd and 6th respectively for well over $100,000. Along with these he has had more success on the other side of the Atlantic winning tournaments at The Bellagio and The Venetian for over $82,000 and showed that he can take on the best, anywhere in the world.
